I have been in Thailand for almost 3 weeks and I have been doing a lot of shopping. With every item bought, a new plastic bag was given, and i mean every single time. I share my frustration with you on how I feel about this. Why don't they reuse the bags or make you put the item in your purse or share bags or use reusable cloth ones that are better for the environment. I am very bothered by this. My solution to this bag problem is to bust them up, pop them and ensure nature is a bit safer wherever these bags might land in the wild. I show you my massive about of bags w3ith the different print on them as i pick one and another and another as I blow air into each of them, twist the top making that lovely plastic sound all along as I smack most of them with my other hand to create a bang. With every pop I make happen, the bigger smile I get and more genuinely happy I am to destroy these bags. If a particular bag has a story, i tell it to you before destroying it and making it useless to anyone and safer for nature too.
I am intrigued how each of these feel a bit different and pop uniquely too. The clear boring bigger laundry service bag surprised me the most as it took a bit to inflate then I decided to sit to pop it. What was so unique was just how many shards it turned into. Pieces of plastic are everywhere on my bed now. I am still smiling as i blow up more and pop them.. I try to blowtopop some but they are not all stretchy like the bags I like to see slowly stretch and bubble out before they pop. Thailand bags don't seem to do that often unfortunately.
There are a few good bags that i do decide to not destroy and keep so I can use them for souvenirs for friends back home. Ah, at least I did my part and destroyed 20-30+ plastic bags for our enjoyment and safety too!
